A few brief showers and Miami traffic may have slowed the start of the Art Deco Weekend car show on Saturday, January 14, but by 10:30 we had over 50 cars ranging from an amazing 1939 Lincoln Zephyr to a Ford Model A that would have been better suited on “The Beverly Hillbillies” lined up on Ocean Dive. The Saturday show was open to cars of all shapes and sizes and degrees of customization from 1992 and older. They blended right in with the festive crowd and street performers. Take a look at the photos and imagine yourself behind the wheel of any of these beauties.
Thanks to show chairman Mel Mann for being our guiding light and to Bob Squier, Philip Williams, Ira Shapiro, Chico Goldsmith, Guy Lewis, Millie and Manny Garcia, Ken Hilton for helping get the cars checked in and in place. A special thanks as always to the Miami Beach Police Department for providing the security and support as they do each year. Also a very special thank you to Williamson Automotive Group for being our proud sponsor.
