AACA South Florida Region welcomed the return of “Cuba Nostalgia” (Nostalgic Cuba), an annual three-day festival where Cuban-Americans and other Latin American ethnic groups celebrate “All Things Cuban” before it was taken over by the Castro regime. The exposition transports you back deep into the Cuban culture where the visitor could experience art, memorabilia, food, drinks and music in a venue resembling the streets and the way of life in Old Havana. The event has been taking place in Miami since the 80’s except the 2020 season year due to the horrific pandemic.
Car enthusiasts had the opportunity to discover a collection of vintage 1950 era cars and light trucks. These types of American and European cars were widely used in the island as they were the last vehicles to be imported before the implementation of the U.S. embargo. Current AACA and future members displayed their vehicles in the venue. The cars and one of the two pick-up trucks were positioned at the show entrance corridor where positive reviews were often received and humbly accepted.
